For Immediate Release – March 12, 2019
Eugene, Ore. – Lane Workforce Partnership, in collaboration with local businesses, is celebrating Lane County’s world-class industries with a new installation at the Eugene Airport.
Featuring bright, colorful column wraps, ceiling banners and digital media in TSA, A and B Gates, A Concourse and baggage claim, the extensive installation celebrates local Food & Beverage, Technology and Wood Products sectors and their positive impact on Lane County’s communities and citizens.
“No one has ever brought all of these companies and sectors together under a single, unified umbrella,” says Ashley Espinoza, sector strategy director with Lane Workforce Partnership. “These local companies and their employees deserve to be recognized and celebrated as ‘world-class’ and as the backbone of Lane County’s past, present and future.”
The Food & Beverage sector is represented throughout the installation by local companies Luna and Larry’s Coconut Bliss, Nancy’s Probiotic Foods, Ninkasi Brewing, So Delicious Dairy Free and Yogi Tea. The Wood Products sector is represented by local companies Rosboro, Roseburg, Seneca, Swanson Group and Timber Products Company. Local companies Arcimoto, Concentric Sky, IEQ Technology, SentinelOne and XS Media represent the Tech sector.
In addition to life-sized photographs of local employees on the column wraps, the installation also features data points illustrating how each sector supports Lane County, including employment numbers, wage figures and other compelling statistics.
“Virtually all of the companies highlighted in this installation were built from the ground-up right here in Lane County,” says Kari Westlund, president and CEO of Travel Lane County who helped bring the Eugene Airport installation idea to fruition. “They’ve grown from humble beginnings to national and international category leaders. We’re thrilled to help share their story with Lane County residents and with travelers from around the world.”
Representatives from participating companies will be at the Eugene Airport on Tuesday, March 19 from 10am-12pm to help residents and visitors learn more. Information can also be found at laneworkforce.org. Tours will be offered to a limited number of people at 10:00am, 10:30am, and 11:00am.
The life-sized column wraps featuring local employees and the other installed materials celebrating local industry will greet travelers at the Eugene Airport through September 2019.
