Training available to help Lane County food and beverage makers meet new federal safety standards

A statewide manufacturing group will help Lane County food and beverage processing companies comply with the federal Food Modernization Safety Act, which sets new safety standards. The nonprofit Oregon Manu­facturing Extension Partnership is organizing 12-part training sessions to help small- to medium-size food and beverage processors meet new federal rules, including the development of food safety plans.
