EUGENE GAME DEVELOPER GROWS WITH NEW OWNER

A new owner is opening doors for homegrown video game developer Pipeworks Studio. Pipeworks was acquired in September 2014 by Digital Bros, a game publisher based in Milan, Italy.  Since them, the Eugene studio has nearly doubled its workforce to 75, paid $2.5 million to buy the downtown Eugene building where it had been renting, and shifted its business model, enabling it to get more of its own games to players.
