Lane County’s Labor Trends – June 2015

Lane County’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped from 5.8 percent in March to 5.5 percent in April. The rate has dropped five months in a row with the last three months recording a large drop of 0.3 percentage point or more.  Oregon’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 5.2 percent and the national rate was 5.4 percent in April.

Seasonally adjusted total nonfarm employment decreased by 440.  This was the first monthly decrease since February.  There have been ten monthly increases in the last 12 months, indicating a steady upward trend.
