Lane Workforce Partnership Hires Community Engagement Director

Eugene, Oregon, June 6, 2022 – Lane Workforce Partnership is proud to announce and welcome Jennifer Carrion as the Community Engagement Director for Lane Workforce Partnership. Ms. Carrion will play an essential role in helping develop, establish and sustain workforce partnerships that will support business growth, career development, and advance the work of creating an accessible and effective public workforce system.  Lane Workforce Partnership’s mission is to connect individuals and employers by partnering with a network of local stakeholders, through collaboration, innovation and strategic investments that empower the workforce to meet the current and future needs of key industry sectors in the Lane County area.

Jennifer, a bilingual (Spanish & English) and bicultural professional, is coming to Lane Workforce Partnership with over ten years of experience in Workforce and Economic Development with a focus on Diversity, Equity, Access and Inclusion. Ms. Carrion has successfully collaborated with businesses in Lane County on their training and recruitment needs. Her career has an extensive and exciting background in community engagement, business development, career advising, workshop facilitation, and marketing.  Her motivation over the years has been her work with job seekers, encouraging and guiding them with goal setting and positive approaches to navigating their job searches and training plans while honoring their voice and respecting their values.  Passionate about serving her community, she currently serves on five committees – Health & Human Services Equity Committee; Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee; Equity Book Club; Latinx Committee; and Oregon Community Foundation (OCF).  Originally from Nicaragua, Jennifer studied Communications at the University of Oregon, and believes there are many paths that can lead to success.
